Critical Incidents
 

A critical incident is defined by the National Code as ‘a traumatic event, or the threat of such (within or outside Australia), which causes extreme stress, fear or injury’.
 

Critical incidents are not limited to, but could include:

  • missing students;

  • severe verbal or psychological aggression;

  • death, serious injury or any threat of these;

  • natural disaster; and

  • issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, drug or alcohol abuse.

Non-life-threatening events could still qualify as critical incidents.

Entry requirements at SSC

Please note, these requirements are for all VET courses only. Entry requirements for ELICOS can be found on the "ELICOS" tab.

BSB40215 CERTIFICATE IV IN BUSINESS 

  • Year 10 or equivalent qualification or vocational qualification at least Certificate III level or experience in business environment.

  • Have an IELTS score of 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in each band or equivalent*.  Other accepted requirements as below: 

    • TOEFL ibt 46 or Cambridge English advance 162 or General English Upper intermediate or PTE 42 or EAP from approved ELICOS/ESL centre or completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in any discipline delivered and assessed in English; or Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or Successful completion of an English Placement Test or other equivalent English test.

*English test results must be no more than 2 years old. To find specific entry requirement by country, please visit www.ssc.edu.au.

 

BSB50215 DIPLOMA OF BUSINESS

  • Year 10 or equivalent qualification or vocational qualification at least Certificate III level or experience in business environment.
